Conditions
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement. Bursaries are based on financial need, although academic achievement may also be considered. The awarding of an entrance scholarship and/or bursary is contingent upon attendance at Brandon University during the Regular Session. Students will be required to register in 24 credit hours in the 2010-11 Regular Session to retain their scholarship

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL AWARDS OTHER THAN THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS, COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN MAY 7, 2010, ALONG WITH GRADE 10 AND 11 MARKS.

Registration deadline for Entrance Scholarship students wanting to be considered for awards is July 9, 2010 . ( Saskatchewanstudents have until August 6, 2010). Students must complete the personal information page and sign the last page of the form.

Brandon University Board of Governors Entrance Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to graduates of accredited Canadian high schools who are entering first year at Brandon University. Students with Grade 12 marks of 85-89.9% will receive $800; students with Grade 12 marks of 90-94.9% will receive $1400, and students with Grade 12 marks of 95-100% will receive $2000.

Students whose Grade 12 averages are in a higher or lower category will have their scholarships adjusted accordingly. A minimum Grade 12 average of 85% is required to retain a Board of Governors Entrance Scholarship.

New Brandon University students who have not studied at another postsecondary institution will automatically be considered for the Board of Governors Entrance Scholarships. Therefore, no additional application form needs to be submitted other than an application for admission to study at Brandon University

PLEASE NOTE: Students must provide their Grade 10 and 11 marks to the Senate Office in order to complete their scholarship application.  Students are also responsible for ensuring that their final Grade 12 marks are received by the Senate Office by July 9, 2010 (Saskatchewan students have until August 6, 2010).
